LAHORE – The Pakistan Day, 23rd March, is being celebrated with
great enthusiasm and fervour across the country today. On this day in
1940 the Pakistan Resolution was adopted at a mammoth public meeting
organised by Pakistan Muslim League under the chairmanship of
Quaid-i-Azam at Minar-i-Pakistan, then Minto Park.
Seven years after the adoption of this resolution, in which separate
homeland was demanded for the Muslims of the Sub-Continent, Pakistan
came into being on August 14, 1947.
